Your role on the team:

• Ensure a timely and accurate month end close process by preparing journal entries, analysis, account reconciliations and schedules
• Support interim and year-end audits with external auditors
• Assist with ad-hoc accounting analysis, projects and operational inquiries
• Communicate and coordinate with other departments, working cross-functionally, to research and resolve accounting issues
• Ensure compliance with internal control functions
• Provide support with updating accounting documentation related to the position
• Ensure the recording of accounting transactions adheres with GAAP, IFRS and GEODIS accounting policies
• Understand the composition and interaction of financial statements, providing clear and concise explanations for account changes
• Communicate proper accounting procedures, providing education and enforcement as needed
• Strive to understand Geodis underlying business and transactions to better apply accounting principles
• Assist in project implementation of new systems, tools, processes and procedures to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the department
• Provide BOF reporting support as needed

What you need: (requirements)

• Minimum 3 years of experience with increasing responsibility in accounting field, preferably in public accounting with a recognized accounting firm
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• Bachelors degree in Accounting required
• GP Dynamics knowledge preferred or recent experience with big ERP (Oracle, SAP, etc.)
• PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
