We are seeking a highly driven, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional looking to take the next step in their career. The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in our organization by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. This position will be responsible for a variety of accounting activities including financial reporting, audit coordination, client accounting, and month-end close procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing multiple engagements and possess a deep understanding of the financial reporting process.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
- Conduct regular audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to meet both short and long-term operational goals.
- Coordinate with the advisory team to provide accurate financial information and expert advice to our clients.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring all business transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Liaise with other departments to improve financial procedures, processes, and systems.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Proven experience in audit, advisory, client accounting, journal entries, month-end close, and managing multiple engagements.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in collaborating and communicating with a diverse range of business and technical stakeholders.
