Senior Accountant - Strategic Employment

A mission driven company in Charlotte, NC is hiring for a full-time Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This hire will work alongside the Controller and CFO to assist in all aspects of the accounting life cycle including month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis. CPA or Public Accounting experience is highly preferred, although not required.

*This role is primarily remote with the occasional need to come into their Arlington office 1 day a week

Required:

• 3+ years of professional accounting experience
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP principles and all stages of the accounting lifecycle
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar field of study
• Previous experience working with Quickbooks, Netsuite, Sage, MS Dynamics or similar

Nice to have:

• Active CPA or work toward obtaining a CPA
• Prior experience in both public and corporate accounting
• An interest working within a mission driven organization that's making a positive impact in the lives of their customers
