A Senior Accountant job is currently available at Belcan in Cincinnati, OH 45242. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years' experience in public accounting.
The Accountant will be a key member of the Finance and Accounting Team and will be responsible for various corporate accounting operations and play a role in the integration of acquisitions. This role will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day accounting for a few of the Company's businesses, including journal entries and coordination with operations and accounting support teams, while ensuring accuracy and completeness. Successful applicants are likely to have experience from a reputable accounting firm, exceptional work ethic, and prior general accounting experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
*Perform all general accounting processes (including journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet and income statement reviews) for a few of the Company"s domestic businesses.
*Back up administrator for the bank external portal and daily cash transacting for the US Belcan operations.
*Manage the company-wide pay card program.
*Assist foreign and domestic subsidiaries with requests as needed.
*Perform all fixed asset accounting processes for a few of the Company"s businesses.
*Prepare and file sales and use tax returns for various states.
*Assist in the implementation and enhancement of accounting and financial reporting systems to further automate processes for efficiencies and effectiveness while maintaining internal controls.
*Assist FP&A team with inquires and analyses upon request.
*Assist in implementation of new accounting standards, as needed.
*Perform other activities and special projects, as needed.
Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
*CPA is preferred.
*Minimum of 3+ years of experience, public accounting experience preferred.
*Experience with JDE preferred.
*An excellent knowledge of US GAAP is required, combined with the ability to research and propose company positions on complex accounting issues.
*Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, changing environment.
*Ability to execute and follow-through to produce complete, accurate and timely deliverables.
*Attention to detail and accuracy are required.
*Hyperion (HFM or FCCS) experience is a plus.
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position offers a pay range of $68,000*to $75,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
