Senior Accountant (Construction Industry) (TEMP to hire!) - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Ledgent is partnering with a client in the construction industry adding a Senior Accountant to their team due to an upcoming retirement. Ideally this would be an immediate TEMP start with the potential to be hired on full-time.

Compensation ranges from $80,000-$90,000 (D.O.E.) + bonus eligibility. Primarily on-site in the northwest metro with situational flexibility.

Duties:

• Oversee and manage the preparation and review of monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Record cash receipts and distribute various cash reports.
• Fixed Asset accounting and reporting for substantial construction equipment fleet and real estate holdings, including book values and tax basis, depreciation, and accounting for related loans and leases.
• Maintain material inventory accounts.
• Perform detailed balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and proper classification of accounts.
• Analyze and prepare statutory accounts, financial statements and reports.
• Respond timely and accurately to information requests and questions from management and operations personnel.
• Assist in preparing schedules and reports for ownership, operations management, and independent auditors.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree and 5-7+ years experience or Associates Degree and 8-10+ years experience
• Full-cycle accounting exposure (Fixed Assets, inventory entries, itemized billing, etc.)
• Construction industry experience (strongly preferred)
• Vista by Viewpoint (BONUS)
