Job Description:
Express Employment Professionals, a leading staffing provider, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant/Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in QuickBooks, accounting principles, and financial processes, particularly in managing accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general ledger maintenance. In this role, the Controller will also manage lease processing, month-end and year-end reconciliation. This is a critical position responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and supporting the company's overall financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations including AP, AR, and general ledger.
- Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks.
- Manage lease agreements, renewals, and rent payments.
- Perform month-end and year-end reconciliations, including bank and credit card statements.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.
- Support payroll processing when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar accounting role.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits (DR/CR).
- Experience managing AP and AR processes.
- Familiarity with lease processing and contract management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
