About the Job
- Prepares and reviews financial statements and maintains the general ledger for multiple business entities.
- Records monthly revenue entry, analyzes Accounts Receivable, Bad Debts and Sales Adjustments by region.
- Prepares recurring and non-recurring journal entries for multiple entities and maintains reconciliations of these accounts.
- Assists in preparing consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and department managers.
- Perform variance analysis on budget against actuals for both regional and support center financials statements and provide the detailed explanations of all transactions and variances.
- Review and maintain detailed reconciliations of certain balance sheet accounts; maintains auditable supporting documentation for each reconciliation.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate inflow and outflow reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and maintain the rolling quarterly cash flow forecast, review and report weekly actuals and projections to the CFO and Controller, explain variances as needed.
- Prepare and record bi-weekly payroll entries and all payroll related accruals; audit labor roster for mapping errors, analyze monthly payroll data and trends and report findings to the appropriate departments.
- Assist the Controller on the annual Accounting & Finance and Support Center department budgets; Provide details on the assumptions and projections used for future estimates.
- Assist with interim and year-end audit preparation of reports as requested by external audit firm.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve and reduce future discrepancies
- Minimum of 3 years of general ledger accounting experience (i.e., above the detail transaction level)
- Previous experience with Intacct preferred
- Multi-state experience a plus
- Self-starter with positive attitude
- Strong experience with GAAP and general financial concept
- Advanced level knowledge of Excel required, plus working knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs
- Desire to take on increasing responsibility
- Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment to escalate issues to senior management
- Must show accountability and be proactive
