Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for working closely with the Assistant Controller and Controller in addition to the external auditing firm. Accuracy plus attention to details and deadlines are essential to ensure all analysis of financial statements is in compliance with GAAP. The Company is a rapidly growing private company, growing 20-30% annually, resulting in significant growth opportunities for this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong internal working relationships across the Company.
- Understand the objectives, responsibilities, and mission of the Finance department and work towards those goals.
- Prioritize and plan work activities; adapt for changing conditions.
- Participate in month end close and subsequent analysis and reporting.
- Perform general ledger accounting tasks such as recording journal entries
- Assist with general and management accruals.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations.
- Perform fixed asset accounting processes (acquisition, depreciation, disposition, and impairments).
- Assist with annual audit preparation with external auditors and respond to requests from our external tax firm.
- Assist with 1099 and other required filings
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science in Business, Finance or Accountancy
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years related business experience with a solid understanding of accounting processes and procedures
- Experience with SAP is a plus
- Public accounting experience a plus
- Public company experience a plus
- CPA is a plus
