Job Summary:
As a Senior Accountant, you'll oversee month-end close procedures, prepare journal entries, and report financial statements to our parent company. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-End Close: Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and adjustments.
- Account Reconciliation: Conduct monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements for submission to the parent company.
- Variance Analysis: Perform variance analysis, explaining significant deviations from budgeted expectations.
- Audit Support: Assist with annual audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement efficiencies in month-end and reporting processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with departments across the organization to gather information and support financial reporting needs.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Experience: 4+ years in accounting, with a focus on month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite); Navision experience is a plus.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication for effective cross-departmental collaboration.
