Senior Accountant
Katalyst Group, in partnership with our O'Hare area manufacturing client, is currently seeking a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for safeguarding corporate assets, detecting and addressing procedural gaps to prevent financial losses, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements within GAAP standards. They will also analyze financial trends, provide forecasts, and recommend adjustments to support informed decision-making. Additionally, they oversee payroll processing, reconcile accounts, and prepare tax returns while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies. Ideal candidates possess a degree in Accounting or Finance, at least 4 years of relevant experience, proficiency in Microsoft applications, and a strong understanding of GAAP. They will also have experience with cycle count and inventory accounting. They must demonstrate attention to detail, confidentiality, professionalism, and reliability.
