About the Role:
As a Senior Accountant at our company, you will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing various financial activities. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Senior Accountant position is an opportunity for an experienced professional with SAP and legal experience to contribute to the financial success and integrity of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Maintenance:
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
- Utilize SAP to streamline financial data processing and reporting.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
- Provide insights into financial performance and trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets.
- Leverage SAP for budgeting processes and variance analysis.
- Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Participate in audits and liaise with external auditors, utilizing legal expertise to navigate regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
- Streamline accounting procedures using SAP functionalities.
- Cash Management:
- Manage cash flow and forecasting, ensuring adequate funds are available for operational needs.
- Utilize SAP for cash management and reconcile bank statements, resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Taxation:
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Leverage legal knowledge to navigate complex tax laws and assess their impact on the organization.
- Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analyses to support decision-making and strategic initiatives.
- Utilize SAP for in-depth financial analysis, providing valuable insights into cost structures, revenue trends, and key financial metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
- Experience working with SAP in a financial capacity.
Skills:
- Proficient in financial software and ERP systems, with advanced SAP skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
