About the position: As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for MAWD’s accounting records, which includes the preparation of monthly financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, supporting the annual budgeting process, overseeing accounts payable, performing bi-weekly payroll calculation and other general ledger activities. You will work to provide critical financial information and insight that will be used to make key strategic decisions.
What you'll do:
- Verify monthly data received from billing service RCM for accuracy and post to the general ledger and develop appropriate accruals
- Oversee accounts payable process to ensure accurate general ledger account reporting
- Maintains accuracy of use tax reporting
- Lead and supervise accounting clerk teammates
- Key team member supporting the month-end accounting close process
- Review and reconcile bank (cash) accounts
- Prepares monthly financial statement package and supports the analysis process
- Supports external audit efforts with gathering necessary account information and documents
- Performs other project-based related duties as assigned
You should have:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university required. Additional certification in accounting or finance preferred.
- Minimum of five years of accounting work experience. Healthcare industry experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office, Advanced skills in Excel. Strong computer skills required.
