An LA startup is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team in this newly created position. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for month-end close, financial reporting, the P&L, costs, and revenue. To be successful in this role, the Senior Accountant should be detail-oriented, have great time management skills, and be an excellent communicator. Does this sound like you? What do you need for this Senior Accountant role?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 3-6 years of accounting experience (industry and/or public accounting)
- CPA tracking or license great but not required
- Advanced Excel
- Post journal entries and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Perform intercompany transactions
- Track and report project costs
- Working with the Operations team to ensure complete and accurate reporting and tracking of projects and project costs
- Record revenue and costs
- Prepare financial statements
- Sales and financial reporting
- Track and maintain inventory through ERP
- File, pay, and monitor sales tax
- Support the annual financial statement audit
- Ad hoc requests and analysis
- Assist with process improvement initiatives

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
