Senior Accountant - Creative Financial Staffing

About the Job
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the company's financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring that financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting principles.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including reconciliations and aging reports.
- Manage the month-end close process, including the preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures and identify areas for process improvement.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and provide variance analysis.
- Collaborate with the audit team to provide support during the annual audit process.
- Conduct monthly analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts to identify trends and variances.
- Assist with the preparation of the cash flow statement and related analyses.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports as requested by management.
- Mentor and train junior accounting staff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting software systems, such NetSuite, or Oracle is preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Work Model:
This client currently operates in a hybrid work model, with 2 days in-office required per week
Compensation:
$84,000 - $92,000/year
MaxSalary: USD92000
MinSalary: USD84000
