Salary/Hourly Rate:
$30 – $40/hr
Position Overview:
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations
You will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, analyzing financial information, and providing crucial insights to support strategic decision-making within the organization
This Senior Accountant role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting
Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting
Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements to ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning and decision-making processes
Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to company policies and identify areas for process improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
4+ of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles
Proficiency in Excel, accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial regulations
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey financial information clearly and effectively
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
CPA or relevant professional certification is preferred
