We are currently on the hunt for a dynamic Senior Accountant to join our growing team. This role is integral to our organization's financial operations and future growth. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. This role requires an individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, coupled with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
2. Analyzing financial data and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
3. Overseeing ledger reconciliation and managing accounts payable/receivable.
4. Conducting regular ledger procedures and assisting in the budgeting process.
5. Ensuring company financial records, under responsibility, are maintained in compliance with company policies and US GAAP. Responsible for reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure this compliance.
6. Supervising junior accounting staff and providing them with regular professional development and training.
7. Coordinating more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments.
8. Assisting in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices.
9. Assisting the Controller in ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
10. Constantly updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this Permanent Senior Accountant position will possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related field.
4. Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office Suite applications.
5. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
6. Experience with corporate taxation issues is a plus.
7. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
8. Superior analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
9. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
11. Proficient in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
12. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards.
