Senior Accountant for Prominent NYC Nonprofit

Responsibilities:

• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations & analyze data for accuracy
• Assist with day-to-day reconciliations, transactions, & accounts payable responsibilities
• Prep financial statements, budgets, & forecasts
• Assist with posting journal entries, month end close, & cash flow analysis
• Process vendor invoices & expense reimbursements
• Assist in preparing budget-related materials & supporting documents required for submission to funders
• Track revenue for each funding source via accrual adjustments, posting checks, & electronic transfers

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of non-profit accounting experience
• Tech savvy – Strong excel & accounting software skills are a plus!
• Knowledge of non-profit/government grants & contracts is also a plus
• Eager to join & grow with a strong, mission-driven team
