Senior Accountant of Financial Reporting - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

About the Job
A growing investment company in the Baltimore Metro Area seeks an energetic and motivated senior accountant of financial reporting:
Responsibilities
* Assist in preparing/compiling consolidated financial reports (10-K, 10-Q's, etc.)
* Assist with consolidation related controls and reconciliations
* Assist with the xbrl/html review process for 10-K and 10-Q's
* Prepare tie-outs of the financial reports (10-K and 10-Q's)
* Assist with the filing of certain Press Releases with the SEC
* Assist in the preparation of the GAAP disclosure checklists
* Assist with technical accounting research
* Assist other accounting team members as needed
* Assist with ad-hoc projects as requested
Qualifications
* BS in Accounting or similar field from a 4-year college or university
* CPA license preferred
* Minimum of 2.5+ years of accounting experience
* Experience working in audit (Big 4 or large public accounting firm experience with publicly traded clients) or with a large publicly traded company
* Experience with preparation and/or review of financial statements
* Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to execute and follow through to completion
* Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and general ledger applications
* Knowledge of SOX, COSO standards and risk assessment practices
