Senior Accountant - Real Estate Development - Base Salary to 85k/year - Austin, TX

• Our client, a small, very well-established and rapidly growing real estate development company is seeking a Senior Accountant to add to their expanding team!
• They are seeking a proactive, collaborative, detail oriented, effective leader, strong in Excel and other software, a quick learner, comfortable in a dynamic environment that is local to Austin, TX and ok with a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Complete month-end closing for multiple entities including account reconciliations and accrual calculations.
• Analyze financial statements, comparing actuals against budget variances.
• Collaborate to refine accounting processes and improve efficiency and transparency, leveraging technology to automate tasks, enhance reporting capabilities, and improve data accuracy
• Lead the budgeting process for projects: forecasting costs and revenues, monitoring project budgets, and adjusting forecasts based on actual performance.
• Support annual audits through meticulous controls, documentation & workpapers.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax forms with various government agencies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting with focus on general ledger, closing, register balances, reporting, financial modeling, analysis, budgeting, forecasting; comfortable in a heavy coding role
• Real estate development accounting is a plus!
• Some leadership/ management experience; ability to build/ document strong SOP’s
• Strong Excel skills and other accounting software
• financial investment analysis software a plus!
• Excellent analytical, organizational skills with high attention to detail, & a proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
• Local to Austin, TX with ability to work a hybrid schedule

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 75k - 85k/year range
