Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements specific to the renewable energy sector.
Prepare and maintain detailed project budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses related to renewable energy projects.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance to support decision-making.
Collaborate with project managers to monitor project costs and ensure accurate reporting.
Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors to ensure timely completion.
Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing training and support as needed.
Assist in tax compliance and planning, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
Stay informed about industry trends, tax regulations, and accounting practices relevant to renewable energy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role, ideally within the renewable energy sector.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
