Senior Accountant
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to manage key accounting functions, including maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing comprehensive financial reports. This role requires precision, strong analytical skills, and collaboration with various teams to support our business objectives. You will analyze financial data, generate reports, and complete special projects independently, while providing support to the Accounting Manager as needed. This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity, with the goal of transitioning to a permanent role after 90 days. The role is fully onsite at our conveniently located office, offering a smooth and easy commute.

Senior Accountant
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to manage key accounting functions, including maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and preparing comprehensive financial reports. This role requires precision, strong analytical skills, and collaboration with various teams to support our business objectives. You will analyze financial data, generate reports, and complete special projects independently, while providing support to the Accounting Manager as needed. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records through journal entries, reconciliations, and reports, ensuring adherence to GAAP standards.
- Perform financial analysis, investigating discrepancies, and providing insights to management.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities in reporting and daily operations.
- Manage sales & use taxes, including payments, system updates, annual filings, and audits.
- Support budgeting and forecasting efforts with analysis and recommendations.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.
- Reconcile commission payments for sales representatives and distributors.
- Evaluate internal controls, recommending enhancements to safeguard assets and reduce risk.
- Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting team members as required.
- Document and update procedures for accounting tasks and processes.
- Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- In-depth understanding of GAAP, finance, accounting, and budgeting principles.
- Strong mathematical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across all organizational levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and large-scale ERP systems, with SAP experience preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
