We are looking for a Senior Accountant responsible for the specific duties listed below.
Your specific duties will include:
- Completing general ledger and/or bank account reconciliations and ensuring the accurate and timely resolution of reconciling items.
- Prepare periodic, month-end, and quarter-end closing entries to properly account for general ledger activities in the accounting system, core banking platform, and other third-party systems.
- Responsible for the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and NCUA 5300 Call reports. Review and analyze fluctuations and variances in the balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Streamlining and improving the data collection and reporting process.
- A minimum of five years performing accounting functions for financial institutions is preferred.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills are required.
- Strong personal computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in accounting/finance or extensive experience in advanced financial accounting and reporting.
