Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Senior Accountant for a contract position in San Mateo, CA. The opportunity will be one year with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Position Summary: The Senior Accountant will work within the Finance and Accounting team to support the month-end closing process. The primary responsibility will be in the area of Asset accounting. The candidate must be self-driven and have a strong understanding of accounting principles, must be able to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Recent SAP experience is strongly referred. The responsibilities listed below are not all inclusive and additional duties may be assigned.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Perform CIP analysis and work closely with business
- Maintain fixed asset within SAP which includes recording additions, disposals, transfers and depreciation in accordance with company policies
- Prepare Fixed Asset roll forward schedules and reconciliations
- Prepare journal entries, account analysis and reports related to Fixed assets, intangible assets and prepaids
- Prepare Prepaid roll forward schedule and reconciliations
- Respond to inquiries from businesses regarding accounting activities, reports and other support
- Research discrepancies if any and correct variances
- Accounting support on other assigned areas
- Support the financial close process in line with close schedule & tight deadlines (WD3)
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Accounting and Finance
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting or finance related discipline
- CPA or International Equivalent, with SOX experience preferred
- Recent experience with SAP strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of US GAAP
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to independently and efficiently research
- Advance Excel skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment within tight deadlines.
