SCOPE and PURPOSE
The Senior Accountant will play a critical role within the Finance & Accounting department, overseeing complex financial processes and providing strategic insights to support the multiple entities in our organization. This role requires an experienced professional who can manage high-level accounting functions, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and contribute to the development of financial strategies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
General Ledger Management
• Maintain and update the general ledger by recording and posting journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
• Ensure all transactions are appropriately documented and comply with company policies and accounting principles.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts regularly, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Month-End and Year-End Close
• Assist in the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded and reported accurately.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Analyze and adjust entries as needed to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Financial Reporting
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Provide support in the preparation of management reports, variance analyses, and financial summaries.
• Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Additional Responsibilities
• Oversee the sales tax preparation, filing and payments.
• Responsible for payroll processing and all related reporting and journal entries.
• Assist or lead other duties as assigned
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS, AND SKILLS
• Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Navision ERP system experience
• QuickBooks Desktop and Online versions
• Strong Excel skills required
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills required
• Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.

the individual’s skill sets, experience and training;
licensure and certification requirements;
office location and other geographic considerations;

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
