Senior Accountant - UVeye

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Finance team as a Hybrid or Remote employee. This role will take part in the company's financial operations primarily related to inventory accounting, driving strategic decision-making and optimizing processes as we continue to scale our business.

A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive inventory records across multiple locations and identify and investigate any discrepancies to general ledger
• Review all inventory movement transactions recorded in ERP for accuracy and edit, correct, input as necessary based on shipping and receipt records/documentation
• Conduct monthly inventory valuation using appropriate costing methods (standard or weighted average) and allocation of direct and indirect manufacturing costs
• Prepare reports including detailed inventory aging, detailed cost variance analysis, inventory turnover analysis
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes including providing requested audit support
• Assist with periodic physical counts to ensure accuracy of inventory per ERP and record adjustments as necessary
• Partner closely with the Operations department to align financial objectives with Operating processes
• Assist with other monthly close processes as needed including fixed asset accounting, account reconciliations, journal entry preparation and AP activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably with experience in perpetual inventory and cost accounting
• Experience in manufacturing or distribution industries
• Strong experience with ERP systems 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Tech-savvy with the ability to adapt to new systems and tools
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Strong business partnership skills, especially with Operations teams
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Bonus if you have:

• Experience transitioning from periodic inventory accounting to perpetual inventory accounting
• Background in high-growth environments or with high-complexity capital equipment hardware
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and innovation
