- Senior Accounts Payable Specialist will oversee the entire accounts payable process, including invoice verification, coding, and processing
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices, including matching purchase orders and resolving discrepancies
- Maintain and update vendor records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare monthly reports
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations
- As a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist, you will collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues
- Monitor and manage the accounts payable aging report, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding balances
- Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounts payable staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience, or High School diploma/GED and 10 years of experience, or Associate's degree and 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree and 4 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Accounting
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint is a must
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Must have a proven track record of dependability and dedication to successful task completion and follow-through
- Demonstrably able to work independently, while also working in a team and collaborating resourcefully
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information, ensuring it is handled securely and in compliance with the organization's policies and procedures
- Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, and deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
- Ability to work in an appreciative, strengths-based environment
- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Knowledge of US Government contracts preferred
- Familiarity working with foreign currencies is desirable
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
