A leading non-profit organization based in Hyattsville, MD, is looking for a dedicated Senior Administrative Assistant to join our team in the Office of the General Counsel. In this vital role, you will be an essential part of our operations, overseeing all administrative functions and ensuring smooth, efficient daily workflows. Responsibilities:
- Perform administrative tasks with independent judgment, including managing files, staff monitoring, record-keeping, bill processing, meeting scheduling, and client communication.
- Collaborate with internal departments and the public to support the legal staff in handling various legal matters.
- Assist with litigation tasks, such as responding to subpoenas, preparing court documents, monitoring deadlines, and maintaining case files.
- Support contract reviews, facility usage inquiries, and processing applications for the official Catholic Directory.
- Assist with corporate governance by submitting compliance paperwork to governmental entities.
- Aid in immigration matters, including communication regarding immigration petitions and visa issues.
- Handle inquiries to the Office of General Counsel, exercising discretion in procedural responses and referring legal questions to attorneys.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
- Discretion in handling confidential information and documents.
- Five years in a higher-level administrative role (legal experience preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent writing, communication, and multitasking skills.
