The salary range for this position is $78,378 - $97,972 per year based upon a San Francisco location. Offered salary is dependent upon experience and location. Summary
The Sr Analyst, FP&A role will collaborate with Sales, Brand Management, Marketing, and internal Finance/Accounting on the financial planning and analysis for Fenty Skin & Fenty Fragrance. The individual will assist with analyses and management of full P&L from sales down to operating profit. The position will also be key in driving process and systems changes related to trade spend management. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator and collaborator, who can dissect data in an organized and cogent manner. This role will report directly to the Director, FP&A.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Brand, and internal Finance teams to track and forecast monthly operational expenses (Trade Allowances, Selling, Marketing, and G&A).
- Partner with global Sales and Brand teams to monitor and analyze efficiency of trade spend including but not limited to Markdowns/Promotions, Returns, Testers and Damages. Identify levers for improved ROI.
- Conduct monthly actuals vs. forecast variance analysis and provide meaningful insight into drivers.
- Work with Accounting on month end close activities, including preparation of expense accruals.
- Participate in FP&A process initiatives and system implementations. Key lead in shaping new process and system for trade spend management.
- Collaborate with business partners to develop and manage Budget and Budget revisions that support Brand profit objectives.
- Prepare monthly Brand financial forecast reviews to include risk and opportunities and call to action at global level.
- Build financial models to analyze investment decisions and assess new and existing market opportunities.
- Identify and drive global cost optimization projects for operational investments.
- Assist with preparing presentations for Brand leaders and executives.
Requirements
- College degree is required, preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in finance, ideally in consumer products and/or beauty.
- Advanced knowledge of financial and analytical concepts, practices, and procedures in Retail and Ecommerce environment is preferred.
- Excellent communicator and collaborator across multiple functions and management levels with a service-oriented approach.
- Proven financial modeling capabilities.
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Preferred experience with AX, Anaplan, Power BI, and/or ability to learn and/or ability to adapt to in-house system applications.
- Must be curious, accurate, and detail oriented.
- Must bring a positive attitude with fresh eyes and an appetite for change management.
- Must work well in a fast paced, team-oriented, and dynamic environment.
