Role Summary/Purpose:
The Senior Analyst, JCPenney will play a pivotal role in surfacing data-driven insights to support JCPenney's credit card business. The Senior Analyst will be responsible for analyzing customer behavior, transaction trends, and profitability to identify growth opportunities and optimize performance. Leveraging expertise in data mining, analysis, and reporting, they will regularly present their actionable recommendations to key cross-functional stakeholders.
The Senior Analyst, JCPenney will be required to use all available tools and resources to thoroughly analyze and assess performance and customer behavior. They will also be responsible for developing and maintaining advanced reports and dashboards, ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate and timely data.
As a critical member of the Analytics team, this role will directly influence decisions that enhance customer engagement, optimize credit performance, and support overall business growth.

Essential Responsibilities:
+ Analyze customer behavior to identify growth opportunities and optimize performance.
+ Develop and maintain advanced dashboards and reports to monitor key performance metrics.
+ Provide data-driven insights to support credit card marketing campaigns and customer retention strategies.
+ Automate recurring reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy of data delivery to stakeholders.
+ Use advanced analytics tools like SQL, Python, and Tableau to extract, analyze and visualize data for better decision-making.
+ Provide timely reporting to compliance stakeholders to ensure the JCPenney program quickly remediates any outstanding issues.
+ Develop strong relationships with the cross-functional Synchrony team and with the client.
+ Present findings regularly to various internal and external stakeholders.
+ Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in a STEM or related quantitative field, OR in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma and 4+ years of marketing analytics or customer analytics experience.
+ Experience to include:
+ 1+ years of experience in an analytics role
+ 1+ years of experience using SAS or SQL
+ 1+ years of experience querying and analyzing large volumes of data
+ 1+ years of experience creating data-driven deliverables with Excel and PowerPoint
Desired Characteristics:
+ Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline, such as statistics, mathematics, science, or engineering; experience with proven ability to extract unstructured and structured data
+ 2+ years of analytics experience within a financial services, credit card and/or payments industries performing analytics.
+ Strong project management, communications, multi-tasking, ability to work independently, relationship management skills.
+ Solid understanding of card industry financial P&L drivers and key sensitivities, with business performance reporting experience.
+ Ability to present findings to all levels of management.
+ Strategic thinking and the ability to identify business opportunities.
+ Demonstrated ability to manage complexity and multiple initiatives.
+ Ability to perform ad-hoc analysis, glean and form business insights under aggressive timelines
+ Ability to synthesize/analyze diverse information, develop and recommend strategies
Grade/Level: 09
The salary range for this position is 85,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
+ You must be 18 years or older
+ You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
+ You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
+ You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
+ New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post.
