As a player-coach, you'll combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution, working closely with department heads in operations, finance, marketing, and product to set priorities and manage the analytics roadmap.
Key responsibilities include:
- Road mapping and Planning: Develop and manage the analytics roadmap, oversee capacity planning, and document deliverable requirements
- Process & Standardization: Establish standards for documenting requests and ensuring uniform metric definitions and reporting
- Data Engineering Collaboration: Work with Data Engineering to define and prioritize data needs and ensure compliance with regulations
- Player-Coach Role: Conduct analysis while mentoring junior staff in data analysis and reporting
- Data Collection and Analysis: Create and maintain dashboards and reports and provide actionable insights
- Data Interpretation and Presentation: Translate data findings into clear recommendations and ensure self-service capabilities for stakeholders
- Problem Solving: Identify trends, anomalies, and provide insights for deeper business understanding
- Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy through regular audits and validation checks
- 5+ years in data analysis, preferably in eCommerce with 2+ years managing analytics functions
- Proficiency in SQL, BigQuery, LookerStudio, or similar tools; experience with statistics and Python is a plus
- Excellent skills in conveying complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and innovative thinking
