We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Application Oracle Database Administrator to manage and optimize our Oracle database systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Oracle databases, proven technical skills, and a commitment to excellence in database administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and management of Oracle database systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Provide expert support for programming staff in debugging triggers, procedures, functions, and packages (PL/SQL code).
- Optimize SQL execution for Oracle SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
- Design and implement database connectivity solutions for various applications.
- Develop and maintain UNIX/Linux shell scripts in HP UNIX and/or RedHat Linux environments.
- Conduct data modeling to support application development and database design.
- Utilize Oracle RMAN for backup and recovery operations, including full and incremental backups and database cloning.
- Administer and utilize Oracle Warehouse Builder for data integration and management.
- Implement fine-grain access control in Oracle databases to ensure security and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support database-related projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the maintenance and management of Oracle database systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution, or a minimum of six (6) years of equivalent work experience.
- At least five (5) years of experience providing connectivity to Oracle databases.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience assisting programming staff with debugging PL/SQL code (triggers, procedures, functions, and packages).
- Five (5) years of experience optimizing SQL execution for Oracle SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
- At least five (5) years of experience writing and maintaining UNIX/Linux shell scripts in HP UNIX and/or RedHat Linux environments.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in data modeling.
- At least five (5) years of experience utilizing Oracle RMAN for backups and database cloning.
- Two (2) years of experience with the administration of Oracle Warehouse Builder.
- Two (2) years of experience implementing fine-grain access control in Oracle databases.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with cloud-based Oracle database solutions.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $35 - $85/per hour, depending on experience.Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
