Job summary:
Immediate opening for a senior applications developer with experience in C, Fortran or both. Applies
standard programming procedures and knowledge of pertinent functional areas of the commercial
construction industry. Analyzes needs, designs, writes and tests new or modified programs and
applications. Maintains and revises existing systems and provides technical assistance to users as
well as to others internally. Works according to approved requirements and detailed specifications.
Applies judgment in devising program logic and selecting and adapting standard programming
procedures; obtains advice when precedents are unclear or unavailable.

Essential job Duties:
A minimum of 8-10 years of experience is required in the following areas.
- Performing, developing, and troubleshooting in a Unix/Linux shell programming environment
- Interfacing and communicating with internal and external IT customers and users around
system down time and other items.
- Knowledge, skills and experience in database architecture, designing, developing and using
query optimization, logical models, physical models, referential integrity, domain integrity, etc.
- Extensive experience designing and coding applications on the Unix/Linux platform.
- Utilizing Active Directory for purposes including log in and connectivity.
- Requires experience in Unix-like operating systems and familiar with shell scripting and cron
- Knowledge of department processes and procedures.
- Requires advanced skills associated with programming design, modification, and

- Must be able to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner.
- Has ability to interface with management on a regular basis.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience utilizing ISAM, Oracle Client Servers (e.g. 1-2x Client DL580), Redhat LINUX or
- CENTOS, MPLS and VPN networks, CISCO Firewalls, SAN attached or direct attached
- Application language experience in C and Fortran (77, 90 and/or 95) highly desired.
- Excellent oral and written communication skill in English for communication with management
- and peers, documentation, team meetings, etc.
- Excellent in creating and writing both user and various technical documentation.
- Experience utilizing Office Professional Suite 2010 or better.
- Ability to excel in a team environment which emphasizes total cooperation and mutual
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with an eye for detail.
- Ability to independently research and find creative solutions to problems and share
- knowledge with other team members.

- Experience in evaluating application security.
- 4 year undergraduate degree in Business Administration, IT or related field
