Williams & Connolly LLP is currently seeking a Senior Applications Support Engineer who will become a subject matter expert on the technology that supports the firm's Office of the General Counsel and specifically regarding conflicts, intake, and compliance with the ethics rules and client agreements including: new business intake, conflicts, client terms, walls/screens, legal holds, records management and other risk management applications. This role will be responsible for working with the IT, Conflicts and other practice departments on the design, configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and support of risk and compliance software, including Intapp products. This position will also collaborate with business stakeholders, vendors, and other IT teams to implement high-quality and innovative solutions that meet the firm's needs. As the subject matter expert of these applications, the Senior Application Support Engineer also is responsible for third-tier support for escalations. Duties include:* Provide expert technical support for various technology platforms implemented at the firm.* Act as the system owner to maintain and continuously improve application functionality, performance, and security.* Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in efficiency by fully leveraging features and capabilities of the firm's technology platforms. * Provide technical guidance, best practices, and recommendations for the configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and support of Intapp and other solutions. * Lead the migration of Intapp and other products from on-premise to cloud SaaS products, ensuring a smooth transition and minimal disruption to the business. * Work closely with business stakeholders including the Conflicts Department, vendors, Conflicts Department, and other IT teams to understand the requirements, priorities, and challenges of the new business intake and conflicts clearance processes, workflows, and technologies. Become an expert technical resource for the firm's Intapp software and processes.* Assist with implementing workflow enhancement changes and process integrations to current software by planning, designing, and collaborating with outside consultants, vendors, the Conflicts Department, and other IT teams; perform functional tests for quality assurance; and release to end-users. * Troubleshoot, support, and maintain SQL servers, databases, automated routines, and scripts.* Coordinate routine application upgrades and security patching in accordance with the firm's patching policy, ensuring appropriate test protocols and patch timelines are followed. * Identify system outages, potential system bugs, and performance issues and work with the appropriate teams to resolve.* Oversee the integration of Intapp Intake and Intapp Conflicts with other applications. Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledgebase articles for Intapp and other solutions. * Maintain close relationship with vendors to implement and enhance applications. * Work with practice groups, the Conflicts Department, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and implement innovative technology solutions.* Train and mentor User Support Representatives on application functionality and troubleshooting techniques.* Act as escalation resource for incident tickets.
* 7+ years of experience in legal technology COTS applications and system administration.* 2+ years of experience with Intapp solutions for Conflicts and Intake, including configuration, integration, testing, deployment, and support. Experience with Intapp Terms & Walls is a plus.* Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux Ubuntu Operating Systems, SQL, IIS, and data workflow automation.* Knowledge of Integration Builder and/or Boomi is a plus.* Strong understanding of a law firm's new business intake and conflicts resolution business processes and technologies, workflows, and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. * Excellent communication, collaboration, customer service and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, vendors, and other IT teams. * Strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy, and the ability to manage, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks and projects in a demanding, fast-paced environment. * Certification or training in Intapp solutions or cloud technologies is a plus. * Flexible to work outside normal business hours when required, including participation in our monthly system maintenance work.* The ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds is required. This position is eligible to work the department's approved hybrid schedule. This is an exempt position. The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $135,000 - $160,000. The final offer amount is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience, education, and other relevant skills and qualifications.
