Overview
This role will support the Registration and Billing department.
Works collaboratively with all departments, and functions independently in defining, troubleshooting, and solving software and system analysis assignments using established system analysis techniques. Demonstrates advanced ability, integrity, and innovation in applying systems analysis techniques, knowledge, and experience to the needs of the organization.
Responsibilities
Epic Business Systems, Hospital Billing Team
At the direction of the Manager, work collaboratively with all departments, and function independently in defining, troubleshooting, and solving software and system analysis assignments using established system analysis techniques. Demonstrate advanced ability, integrity, and innovation in applying systems analysis techniques, knowledge, and experience to the needs of the organization. Position will be responsible for build and maintenance in the Epic Hospital Billing (HB) application and providing technical support for the billing and financial operational groups and other end-users. Will also developbuild and support proficiencies to provide backup support for the Epic Professional Billing (PB) and their constituent users as well as assisting with the implementation of other information system initiatives within all billing operations. Works with Manager to develop work plans, and assists in recruitment, technical development and supervision of non-senior team members. Ideal candidate would have Epic Hospital Billing/Single Billing Office (HB/SBO) certification (primary); HB Claims/Remits certification would be a plus.
Successful analysts are able to hold discussions of the concepts involved in system design (or issue investigation) while they are not actively working with or looking at the system or documentation, and make the technology understandable to others (e.g. analysts in other IS positions, end users or organizational leadership).
Ideal candidate with strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills desired. Must be available for evening, weekend or on call hours if needed by department.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related subject matter with five (5) years of relevant work experience or the equivalent preferred.
* Must be self-directed, flexible, and have strong organizational, analytical, and self-motivational skills.
* Strong verbal, written, and listening skills are required to communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and internal customers.
* Demonstrates work qualities of attention to detail and dependability.
* Ability to make decisions independently, but works within a team environment to provide support to department.
* Handles fluctuating workloads while working within deadlines.
* Project management skills are desired.
