Senior Architect Space Access (SA) and Operationally Responsive Space (ORS) Office Liaison

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Architect Space Access (SA) and Operationally Responsive Space (ORS) Office Liaison to join our team!

Responsibilities:
· Provide SA expertise to the SAF/SP in the areas of policy, strategy, requirements, capabilities, programs, acquisition, and operations.
· Perform as SME and content lead for SAF/SP SA architecture development and maintenance, and as SAF/SP contributor to SA architectures developed by other DSC member organizations.
· Maintain insight of SA programs to monitor the implementation and assess status of SA architectures.
· Maintain awareness of SA community developments and changes in context, and periodically assess the impacts to and the validity of the SA architectures.
· Maintain up to date, accurate and relevant SAF/SP SA architectures and their associated metrics.
· Lead the Defense Space Council Program Assessment (DSCPA) SA Integrated Product Team (IPT), and the Defense Space Council Plan (DSCP) SA Team; author and coordinate Issue Papers for Launch.
· Provide technical support to EA for Space Staff in the areas of planning (data collection, plans assessment, analysis and study reviews, acquisition program support, and document preparation) and program assessment (budget database, POM/IPOM, assessment and documentation preparation) within National Security Space (specifically with respect to SA).
· Provide ORS support to the SAF/SP in the form of ORS Office liaison support, coordination, actions/tasks in the National Capital Region.
· Provide a conceptual framework and new way of thinking for attaining more agile, resilient, and “tailorable” capabilities, and emphasizing flexibility across full spectrum.
· Maintain ORS focus on the subset of space activities designed to meet JFC’s needs for new, modified, or augmented capabilities; highlight timely application of space power in a theater of operations.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
• Master’s Degree or Equivalent
Desired Education:
• PhD in space-related field.
Required Skills:
· 15+ years’ experience in an Engineering, Scientific, Analysis, Policy or Planning field related to Defense Space
· 15+ years’ experience in or directly supporting DoD or NRO space operations, policy or acquisition.
· Deep, demonstrated understanding of Space enterprise to include DoD requirements, acquisition, and budgeting processes and applicable National Security Space (NSS) guidance and policy.
· Executive level project management, demonstrated ability to plan, organize, lead, and execute studies or projects
· Executive level leadership, interpersonal, organizational, oral presentation executive writing and documentation skills.
· 10+ years’ experience supporting OSD, Service HQ or DoD Agency staffs.
· Understanding of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and architecting processes.
· 7+ years’ experience in or directly supporting Space Access operations, policy or acquisition.
· Comprehensive understanding of current and planned Space Access programs and system capabilities.
Desired Skills: Experience with NASA, NRO, commercial and international providers.
Travel: As required to destinations such as Los Angeles, Colorado Springs, Omaha, and local travel in and around the National Capital Region.
Clearance: TS//SCI.
Job Location: Pentagon, Washington, DC and Fairfax, VA.
