Senior ATE Systems Engineer (ATE-SYS)
Contract 6-12+ months, 40 hours weekly, 100% onsite 9/80 Schedule

15 years of formal ATE development experience, along with a high level of expertise in the ATE specialty domain is required for consideration on this position.
Overview:
Client seeks an Electrical Engineer to support ATE development in the Power / Control Actuation Systems (CAS) / Space / Marine Lines of Business. Applicant should have a strong background in Electrical Engineering, and possess a demonstrated ability in designing, developing, integrating, and deploying Special (Peculiar) Test Equipment (ATE / STE). Power Distribution, Motor Controls, and Actuation Device interfaces will be the prime applications of the subject ATE. Test Equipment Documentation and Reporting will also require high competencies in Automated Test Equipment practices and user interfaces. A strong emphasis on team cohesion is necessary.
Essential or Primary / Key Responsibilities
ATE Requirements Derivation and Verification are the primary responsibilities of this position, as they relate to Design and Development of Test Stations, ITAs, Interface Adaptors, and Cables. These are typically in support of DVT testing, Qual testing, ATP testing, and ESS testing. Equipment selection, Test Accuracy Ratio calculations, Design Review preparation (TE SRR, TE CDR, TE Validation), estimating, and technical presentation package/document assembly are also required key skills. The incumbent will work closely with the new product development team for the Prime Mission Equipment, from Development through Production.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 15 years of formal ATE development experience, along with a high level of expertise in the ATE specialty domain is required. Subject areas of demonstrated ability should include Test Station, ITA, Cable and Interconnect Diagram design, Requirements generation and review, and TE Validation.
- Additionally, technical ATE knowledge, with respect to manual and automated control of the following sample instrumentation is a must:
- Hardware Support: Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, Power Meters/Analyzers, Function Generators, Data Acquisition and Control Systems, DMMs, High Voltage P/Ss, Analog I/O, Digital I/O, Interface Bus Protocol Support: IEEE-488, I2C, SPI, CAN, USB, RS-485/422/232, Serial, JTAG
- Software Support: Word/Excel, PowerPoint, Visio

Bachelor’s degree in EE, 15+ years experience
