Audit Senior Associate (Non-Profit) - Remote Opportunity

A well-established public accounting firm located in Massachusetts is seeking an audit accounting professional to join their team as a Senior Audit Associate.  This position will work alongside other audit professionals on the firm’s audit and attestation division.  The firm is seeking a professional with non-profit client exposure.  The firm is open to remote candidates and is offering a highly competitive compensation and benefits package.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Prepare financial statements with disclosures, applying basic areas of GAAP as needed and documenting; validating, testing and assessing various control systems

• Utilize their knowledge of GAAS principles and apply them to engagements

• Develop and apply their knowledge of auditing theory to various client situations 

• Complete all appropriate documentation of work papers

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

• Participate in business development and networking opportunities

Qualifications: 

• 3+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on external audit and assurance services

• Focus on Not-For-Profit clients

• CPA License preferred 

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• Strong knowledge of accounting controls and professional standards and regulations (GAAP, GAAS etc) 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and provide recommendations for improvement
