This role will provide focused support for automated manufacturing equipment and will entail both daily production stability and project work
Daily support ensures key performance metrics are being met, and project work focuses on continuous improvement and includes new technology integration, new software and controls, and equipment/tooling redesign
We are looking for a technically competent, ambitious individual with a strong automation background.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Provide daily technical and process support for automated production equipment.Implements equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards and improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques, and production yields.Provide advanced troubleshooting for electronics, controls, robotics, & vision systems.Understand and utilize process characterization and product design documents to maintain product quality and implement thoughtful and compliant manufacturing solutions.Tune closed loop control equipment for optimal performance.Lead projects increasing Overall Equipment Effectiveness.Provide guidance and support for production operators and technicians in equipment troubleshooting to reduce downtime.Develop and improve control systems and applications utilizing software languages and environments preferably in PLC Ladder Logic and/or structured text.Perform verification and validation activities
Perform Measurement Systems Analysis (Gage R&R studies).Deploy and qualify equipment
Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained.Embrace a culture of high quality, collaboration, and innovation.Perform duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety-related site rules as well as policies and governmental regulations.Must Have: Minimum RequirementsBachelors degree requiredMinimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experienceNice to HaveExperience with PLC/HMI hardware/software design, programming, and troubleshooting – particularly Allen-Bradley.Experience with Vision Systems.Robotics integration experience – mobile industrial robots & material handling.Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) implementation experience.Experience Troubleshooting HMI, PLC, VFDs, temperature controllers, etc.Experience writing & executing equipment qualification documentation.Experience with change control procedures in a medical device setting.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
