Senior Automotive Technician (Vehicle Whisperer & Puzzle Solver) - Tires Too
Londonderry, NH 03053
About the Job
About Us: At Tires Too, we pride ourselves on being experts in all things automotive—whether it’s fixing complex vehicle systems or explaining to our customers why their dashboard looks like a Christmas tree. We take our work seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Now, we’re on the hunt for a Senior Automotive Technician with a deep understanding of electrical theory, vehicle communication networks, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)—and a good sense of humor wouldn’t hurt either!
Job Overview: We’re looking for someone who loves a challenge, whether it's diagnosing a tricky electrical issue or helping a customer understand that "No, your car won’t run on hopes and dreams." You’ll need to be a pro at figuring out what’s going on under the hood—especially when it comes to the cutting-edge tech that makes modern vehicles smarter than your average space shuttle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair complex vehicle electrical and mechanical problems (yes, even the ones that make you go “Huh?”).
- Use fancy diagnostic tools (no, they don’t come with a cape) to troubleshoot vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN, MOST—if you know, you know).
- Calibrate and service ADAS systems—because we like cars that help drivers, not just those that honk when someone cuts them off.
- Perform thorough inspections, preventive maintenance, and ensure vehicles leave in better shape than they arrived (bonus points if you can make the dashboard warning lights disappear).
- Stay up to date with OEM procedures and keep track of the latest automotive tech (you can never know too much, right?).
- Mentor junior technicians (basically, be a car guru).
- Adhere to safety standards—no capes or superpowers allowed in the shop, unfortunately.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician.
- ASE Master Certification or equivalent preferred, but we can talk about that.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to diagnose what others might call “black magic.”
- Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols like CAN, LIN, or Ethernet (because, of course, cars need Wi-Fi too now).
- Solid understanding of ADAS—you're the person who makes sure the car can practically drive itself (but we still need humans!).
- The ability to read technical diagrams and wiring schematics—extra points if you can do it without your reading glasses.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, a positive attitude, and a team-player mentality (we're all in this grease-covered adventure together).
What’s in it for You?
- A competitive salary.
- Comprehensive health benefits, because taking care of yourself is as important as taking care of the cars.
- Paid time off and holidays (so you can spend time fixing something other than vehicles).
- Endless opportunities for training and growth—because we like our techs like we like our cars: always improving.
- A fun, laid-back team that works hard but knows how to laugh at the little things (and big things, and medium-sized things).
How to Apply: Shoot us your resume and a cover letter at service@tirestoo.com or apply online at https://tirestoo.com. Bonus points if you include a funny car-related story—just don’t tell us about the time you “fixed” the check engine light by covering it with tape!
