About the Job
ActioNet has an opportunity for a Senior AWS Architect/Engineer requiring a Public Trust clearance in the Washington D.C. metro area. Hybrid work is available. You will play a multifaceted role and be the main Point of Contact (POC) for the contract’s cloud architecture and implementation services functional area requirement. In this role, you will ensure cohesiveness between all cloud environments, develop and execute process improvements, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. The right candidate will work well with a team, exhibit excellent customer service skills, be self-motivated, and seek ways to improve the environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction for cloud architecture and implementation, client and project management support, leading to high-quality client delivery.
- Provide oversight and supervision of all contractor personnel assigned to this functional area.
- Ensure adequate personnel are available to provide the cloud support services as specified in the task order(s).
- Ensure that projects adhere to ActioNet’s Quality Management System, including ActioNet tools and industry best practices, and that adequate status reporting, reviews, and other control tools are employed to keep projects on track and customers fully informed of status.
- Ensure that risks and issues identified are driven to closure. Serve as an initial escalation point for issues escalated from the project teams.
- Implement cross-project/cross-organization reporting. Develop standards and drive implementation of consistent project-level reporting among teams.
- Strategically work together with cross-functional teams to provide innovative, customer-focused experiences.
Basic Qualifications (required):
- Eight (8) or more years as a Cloud Architect on Federal Government programs.
- Five (5) or more years managing and leading large multi-cloud hybrid-cloud solutions migration projects utilizing multi-cloud (AWS, Azure, Google) solutions.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect).
- Experience in migrating hundreds of legacy applications into a native-cloud environment.
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security frameworks, and compliance standards.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information systems
- ITIL 4, CISSP, Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Certification
- Experience with automation tools such as Morpheus for provisioning
