Job Title: Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire / Potentially Direct-hire
Worksite Schedule: Hybrid Onsite (2-3 days per week)
Worksite Location: North Dallas, Texas
Salary Conversion: Based on experience up to $120,000 - $150,000 + full benefits
Overview & Responsibilities:
The Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for working independently at times, and within a team setting to design, deploy, configure, monitor, and maintain high-availability enterprise solutions within an Azure Cloud / M365 environment. This individual will be responsible for production support and cloud security, working with cross-functional and global teams to manage critical infrastructure systems to support business operations and maintain data accuracy, security, and legal/regulatory compliance.
- Define and implement the configuration of :
- Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) - computing resources like storage, networking, and servers
- Azure CLI Powershell
- Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Templates
- Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS) – for managing applications (deployment / configurations) on cloud services, to include servers, storage, networking, operating systems, middleware, and databases
- Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) - computing resources like storage, networking, and servers
- Perform Systems Administration – monitoring, tuning, automation tasks, etc.
- Troubleshooting infrastructure and software applications
- Administer Windows Active Directory (Group Policy), Windows Servers, & Linux Servers
- Manage and support Azure Active Directory Services / Entra ID
- Manage DNS, FTP, Web Servers, Login Servers, Mail Relays/ Directory /List Servers, Web Services, and Proxy Servers within Cloud / On-Prem Data Centers
- Define and manage Azure Cloud Security Architecture - data security, application security, key management, identity & access management (AM), authentication.
- Support M365 Services – configure, administer, and manage services including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online)
- Coordinate installation of new IT equipment and devices
- Manage software upgrades and patches to email services, web server, login servers, mail relays, directory/list service
- Assist with vendor and third-party management, coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure services are performed properly and on-time
- Create and maintain documentation on systems and processes to meet company compliance and auditing requirements and regulations
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information/Cybersecurity, or related field from four-year college or university; or at least 10 (+) years related experience and relevant technical certifications.
- 5+ years’ experience in managing an a Microsoft Azure enterprise-level / (multitenant management experience preferred)
- A strong foundation of Information Technology components to include Networking, Server, Virtualization, Cloud (Azure), Security, Storage, Disaster Recovery, and Backup Solutions
- The ability to work with end users to troubleshoot issues that involve cross-functional team collaboration while providing excellent customer service and support
- Willingness to travel – if required, on a limited basis
- Strong problem solving skills
- Azure Cloud and/or M365 Certifications (strongly preferred)
- AZ 104 - Azure Administrator Associate
- AZ 140 - Configuring and Operating Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop
- AZ 303 - Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies
- AZ 304 - Microsoft Azure Architect Design
- M365 - Security Administrator Associate
- M365 - Enterprise Administrator Expert
