As Senior Benefits Analyst, you are an integral member of the People & Culture team and responsible for the management and administration of benefit programs and vendor relationships for both Canada and the US, reporting directly to the Vice President, People & Culture. In this position, you will support the development of new programs and work on the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of health plans.
You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, timeliness, and availability of benefits-related data. Ongoing work will include supporting functional data integrations and assisting in ensuring that data uploads/downloads and workflows function properly, as well as providing data analytics, troubleshooting, and reporting. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state laws and institutional policies, building best business processes. This position requires in-depth knowledge within the areas of Benefits, Retirement, Leave Administration, and HR Compliance.
What You Will Do:
Support US & Canada benefit program delivery: retirement, health, wellness, and paid time off. This includes day-to-day operational, governance, compliance, benefits financials, and employee communications activities.
Assist in annual renewals, vendor/broker relationships, benchmarking, and researching progressive trends in benefits offerings. Assess implications to benefit offerings because of changes in legislation.
Support integration activities for employees, including internal and vendor system updates, outsourcing processes, and fostering positive employee experiences with technology tools and resources.
Perform regular audits of benefits data to ensure integrity and that programs are being administered according to plan guidelines. Interact with benefit brokers, carriers, and HCM vendor support to ensure all benefit plans are set-up and functioning properly.
Assist in the daily operation and maintenance of benefits modules in Rippling HCM, including functional testing along with operational duties.
Ensure data quality by reviewing payroll- and benefits- related error reports (missing deduction, etc.) provided by internal systems and/or vendors, and troubleshoot and correct problems.
Work through functional issues related to file integrations with vendors and other systems.
Reconcile monthly insurance invoices and prepare invoices for payments. Partner with third party administrators, brokers, or internal sources to investigate data or billing discrepancies.
Oversee annual Open Enrollment activities including pre- and post-open enrollment auditing and system testing.
Provide direct benefits customer service to support team members as needed.
Participate in ongoing compliance work as needed, including internal and external audits, by providing, analyzing, and submitting data as directed, and within required deadlines. Assist in ensuring plan compliance with plan documents and ERISA and IRS regulations.
Create and update benefits-related policies.
Coordinate with Payroll to ensure accuracy of benefit premiums and retirement contributions.
Maintain leave tracking and contact with all employees on leave to coordinate their returns to work.
Respond to data requests by generating reports and preparing spreadsheets and graphs. Use reporting tools to design, document, implement, and monitor ad hoc and ongoing reports in HR systems.
Working collaboratively with our Payroll and People & Culture teams, supporting where needed.

What You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
5+ years of progressive experience in HR, including solid experience working with benefits and plan delivery, design, and communication
Experience utilizing HCM/HRIS, preferably Rippling HCM
Experience utilizing Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience in organizing and prioritizing work, taking initiative, resolving problems, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to build strong, positive relationships with external and internal contacts.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive information with tact and discretion.

At E INC, in the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share our base pay as it is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this full-time position is $90,000.00 - $110,000.00, and this role is eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. Your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition, our ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
