- Benefits Administration: Support the planning, design, development, and administration of corporate benefits programs.
- Guidance and Support: Provide benefits support and guidance to team members and management from all group companies.
- Health Benefits Management: Administer group health benefits, educating team members and managers on various programs, and ensuring compliance with government regulations.
- Documentation: Review and execute benefit documentation, including plan language, benefit agreements, amendments, and insurance SPDs.
- Compliance: Ensure timely compliance with government regulations such as ERISA, COBRA, ADA, HIPAA, and FMLA.
- Reporting: Prepare required reports and applications for federal and state agencies, such as the IRS and Department of Labor.
- Legal Coordination: Review changes to state and federal laws and report necessary changes to management.
- Vendor Management: Instruct insurance carriers, trustees, and other administrative agencies to implement changes in benefits programs.
- Strategic Development: Participate in strategy development and implementation of new benefit programs.
- Communication: Ensure effective communications to support the achievement of benefit objectives.
- Issue Resolution: Resolve claim issues and insurance coverage questions for employees.
- System Maintenance: Ensure systems accurately capture and process insurance deductions.
- Support Functions: Assist Human Resources Management and Payroll with LOA, benefits training, compensation reviews, and reporting.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of human resource administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of all federal and state employment laws (COBRA, ERISA, ADA, HIPAA, FMLA).
- Skills: Strong statistical, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines effectively and professionally.
- Detail-Oriented: Skill in organizing large amounts of data, reports, and presentations efficiently.
- Experience with Large Teams: Proven experience managing benefits for a team of thousands of employees.
