As part of our long-term strategy to continue this unprecedent growth, an opportunity exists for a Senior Electrical Engineer with experience designing market specific solutions and working closely with the engineering and manufacturing teams to commercialize the solutions and assist the sales team with technical support for market rollout of these solutions.
ABOUT THE JOB
Reporting to the General Manager, the Business Development Manager is a critical part of our organization. The US subsidiary has been recently established and job functions will be varied and diverse over the first year. An overall expectation is that all employees approach each task assigned in a professional and diligent manner.
Main Purpose of the Role:
- To deliver outstanding sales results by supporting new and existing clients with a professional and educational/consultative technical sales approach.
- To focus on the development of sales within the Commercial & Industrial and Utility ESS space.
- To develop new opportunities and grow our network of channel partners to deliver ESS solutions for Projects, Tenders and PPA deals etc.
- Work closely with the EVO Power engineering team and our OEM partners to select market leading hardware and software solutions.
- To come up with new ideas to “create the market” including working closely with developers, government and retailers for projects, trials and other ESS system rollouts.
- Collaborate closely with the key management team to work on new opportunities that may arise.
- To work closely with other sales team members and provide the highest level of customer service / sales revenue balance.
- To deliver the agreed KPI’s, company vision, strategy values and specific objectives of EVO Power.
Responsibilities:
- Manage key sales aspects of the business between EVO Power & strategic opportunities (providing, sales, marketing, training, project support).
- Meet regularly with key customer contacts & communicate product roadmap, presentations and project delivery timelines.
- Support onboarding of new partners with product information, training, and co-operative marketing initiatives to maximize sell-in, sell-out & repeat business.
- Maintain a key account/dealer plan detailing customer’s organization, key contacts, business model, channel strategy, pricing conventions, competitive environment & meeting history.
- Develop & update/maintain a strategy within the channel/account plan to maximize the sales of EVO Power’s ESS range within the assigned customers & channels, including proactively seeking-out new opportunities to be promoted to developer and installation businesses.
- Attend all necessary internal & external meetings, conferences and functions as required.
- Work with the sales team to process and manage marketing initiatives/budgets for key customers.
- Submit monthly report on all strategic activities, negotiations, and industry development.
- Adhere to critical ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 processes including PO acceptance, sales register, safety procedures & cooperative advertising guideline conformance.
- Manage trading agreements (including negotiations) between EVO Power & assigned customers, ensuring sales maximization for & risk minimization to EVO Power.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field, highly desired
- 3+ years’ experience as a b2b business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role in battery energy storage system (BESS/ESS)
- Must have experience in the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) BESS market. Utility BESS experience is not a must, but highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of renewable energy markets, project lifecycle, financial models, and industry value chains
- Proven record of sales growth
- Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques
- Strong industry relationships with ability to bring contacts and get quick wins
- Demonstrated experience conducting market research when speaking to potential clients and utilizing the information for the team to stay ahead of the curve
