The Senior Billing Analyst position is a part of MGO’s internal Finance Department team. This position is responsible for all aspects of client billing, while assisting the Revenue Cycle Manager and CFO as requested.
Core Responsibilities:
- Utilizes STAR Software, Intacct, and contract specifications to prepare monthly client invoices.
- Maintains billing information in STAR Software, including bill rates, client codes, service codes, and other information that relates to the billing process.
- Verifies billing against accounts receivable ledger.
- Prepares reports from on a scheduled and adhoc basis as required or requested from internal customers.
- Assists with special projects as required.
Essential Functions:
- Extracts appropriate data from database for analysis against contract specifications.
- Communicates issues and discrepancies to appropriate manager in a timely fashion. Relays billing recommendations to manager in an effort to maximize client-billing potential.
- Mails all invoices in a timely manner.
- Answers client and employee inquiries regarding invoices; resolves invoice discrepancies.
- Reviews aged Accounts Receivable reports to determine accounts where follow-up is necessary. Discusses non-payments with appropriate manager to determine next collection steps.
- Performs collection calls to clients when necessary. May initiate small claims process if legal action becomes necessary.
- Maintains professional insurance records for firm. Notifies public entity clients of insurance held by firm in fulfillment of contract requirements.
- Identifies and recommends improvements to company’s billing system.

Conditions:
- Work is performed in a business office environment with limited privacy and exposure to general office environment noise from others conducting business.
- Travel, including overnight, may be required approximately 5% of time.
- Work time beyond standard business hours may be required to complete work and meet deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) or equivalent, minimum of 5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of accounting software packages, such as STAR Time & Billing, Sage Intacct, Deltek
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate to Advanced skill set with Microsoft Office, Heavy on Excel
- Strong familiarity with databases with proven ability to extract and manipulate data, as well as familiarity with maintaining database tables.
- Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards (i.e., acute attention to detail).
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.

- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.
- Prior experience working in a Professional Services Firm preferred, CPA firm desired
- Virtual Cabinet experience a plus
