This position requires residency in the United States, with team members expected to work onsite in the San Francisco Bay Area at least 75% of the time.
Role Summary:
As a Senior Blockchain Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying smart contracts that support the AI platform. You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and co-founders to ensure robust and seamless protocol integration. This role also includes leading code reviews, performance optimizations, and mentoring junior team members.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy smart contracts in Solidity or Rust.
- Draft and contribute to open Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) and governance protocol research.
- Collaborate with the engineering team, product manager, and co-founders to ensure smooth protocol integration.
- Lead code reviews, audits, and performance optimization processes.
- Provide mentorship to junior developers and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with expertise in Rust and/or Solidity for smart contract development.
- Strong knowledge of ERC20 and ERC1155 token standards.
- Experience with public Ethereum or other EVM-based blockchains.
- Familiarity with deposit, withdrawal, and staking contracts.
- Experience running full nodes, using testnets, and understanding blockchain development cycles; experience with decentralized application (dApp) development is a plus.
- Experience working with cross-chain messaging protocols and bridge integrations.
- Ability to excel in ambiguous business situations with a proactive, iterative approach.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with ZK-rollups, bridges, or Layer 2 solutions.
- Background in conducting smart contract security audits, independently or with a firm.
- Contributions to open-source blockchain projects or open-source research.
