Job Description:
Established multi-specialty medical Doccare is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to manage and oversee our financial records, reporting, and reconciliation processes. This role requires a detail-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable professional with expertise in QuickBooks, accounts payable, financial statement preparation, payroll processing, and reconciliation of tasks. The Senior Bookkeeper will play a key role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations, supporting our ongoing commitment to excellence and integrity in all financial matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records within QuickBooks, ensuring all data is accurate, organized, and up to date. Works to prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Oversee the accounts payable process, including vendor invoicing, payment processing, and vendor relationship management.
- Prepare and review daily cash reports, manage daily deposits, and ensure accuracy in all cash-related transactions.
- Handle purchasing tasks and related documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
- Generate monthly financial reports and create financial statements directly from QuickBooks, providing analysis and insights to management, as needed.
- Reconcile credit card statements monthly to ensure all expenses are properly documented and categorized.
- Oversee 401(k) contributions and reconciliation, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Process payroll with an understanding of benefits holdings and employee deductions; maintain up-to-date records of benefits and assist with payroll-related inquiries.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Minimum 3-5 years related experience required.
- Must have strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of bookkeeping and financial reporting required.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Office (Excel, Word) needed. Familiarity with other accounting software is necessary. Strong experience in account, credit card, and 401(k) reconciliation is required.
- Must have the ability to generate and interpret financial statements, cash reports, and monthly financial reports.
- Prior bookkeeping experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll processing, including understanding benefits holdings and 401(k) contributions strongly desired.
