The Role
We are looking for a Contract Senior Brand Manager/Director to join our team for a 6-month contract, covering an employee on leave. This role is 25-30 hours per week, with a preference for candidates based in the Bay Area to work a hybrid schedule at our San Rafael office. We will also consider qualified candidates located on the West Coast. The position is set to begin in early November, with a potential start date as early as November 1st.
The Brand Manager will be responsible for executing a comprehensive annual brand calendar. This includes managing existing marketing programs and creating new, efficient, and scalable programs to support key consumption dates and product launches. You will work closely with the rest of the marketing team and cross-functional partners to ensure the successful implementation of integrated marketing campaigns that increase our brand's visibility.
You will take charge of Gimme's social media strategy, leading planning and execution to support business and marketing objectives. This includes developing a scalable content creation engine, maintaining a social media calendar with at least 45 days of content visibility, and ensuring effective monitoring and response to consumer comments and inquiries. Additionally, you will cultivate and manage partnerships with like-minded brands, influencers, and tastemakers to expand our reach through coordinated content, collaborations, outreach, and giveaway opportunities.
In this role, you will also be responsible for defining, measuring, and tracking marketing spend KPIs to measure ROI and evaluate the effectiveness of our strategies and creative initiatives. By generating monthly and quarterly social media reports, you will keep the Leadership Team informed of our progress. Furthermore, you will monitor social media activity from competitors and leading CPG brands to identify best practices, stay informed about trending topics, and maintain gimme's competitive edge.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute brand calendar, managing existing marketing programs where they exist, and creating new, efficient, scalable programs where they do not
- Develop integrated marketing campaigns in support of key consumption dates and new product launches, working in close partnership with the rest of the Marketing team and our cross-functional partners to increase our brand's visibility
- Lead planning and execution of Gimme's social media strategy in support of our business and marketing objectives. Continually optimize towards greater awareness, engagement, and followership
- Develop a scalable social media content creation engine that incorporates gimme-generated content, user-generated content, influencer content, as well as, content from a curated roster of external creative resources
- Maintain a social media calendar with a minimum of 45 days of content visibility
- Ensure social media partners are monitoring and responding to consumer comments and forwarding consumer inquiries/complains to Customer Service and Quality Assurance, as appropriate
- Cultivate and manage partnerships with like-minded brands, influencers, and tastemakers to expand our reach with coordinated content, collaborations, outreach, and giveaway opportunities
- Define, measure, and track marketing spend KPIs to measure ROI, understand strategy and creative effectiveness, and make continuous improvement recommendations; generate monthly and quarterly social media tracker to keep the Leadership Team informed about our progress
- Monitor social media activity from competitors and leading CPG brands to identify best practices, learn about trending topics, and help keep gimme ahead of the competition
- Become an expert on Gimme's brand, products, and target consumer

- You aren't afraid to roll-up your sleeves and do what needs to be done to get the job done. At Gimme, you could be presenting to the Board of Directors one day and shipping sales samples to a buyer the next
- You are organized and pay meticuluos attention to detail (did you catch that typo?)
- You play well with others and have built a reputation as a cross-functional leader who drives accountability, applies a strong business acumen, and takes an objective approach in translating strategy into action
- You hate to lose. Having said that... you take your work seriously, but don't take yourself seriously
Preferred Qualifications
- Years of Experience: 5-8 years Marketing experience in Consumer Packaged Goods industry; snack category and/or start-up experience a plus
- Minimum 3 years Social Media and Influencer Marketing experience; proficient in TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and LinkedIn
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
- Experience with SproutSocial, GRIN, and other social media marketing platforms
- Proven track record of building effective, engaging marketing programs and integrated marketing campaigns
- Natural communicator; able to deliver powerful stories verbally, in written form, and via presentations
- Exemplary organizational and project management skills; has a knack for optimizing processes
- Expert in PowerPoint, Excel, and Google Docs
Compensation
This is a 6-month contract position, offering 25-30 hours per week, with an anticipated hourly rate of $75-$125. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's professional background, education, certifications, experience, licenses, and location.
