POSITION DESCRIPTION
- The Senior Business Consultant works with Digital Transformation and IT leadership to identify and solve critical problems spanning hardware, software, and data and its use within the entire agency.
- Identifying and analyzing business problems at the intersection of data, technology, and process
- Managing projects throughout the entire project management lifecycle, from Initiation to Closeout
- Creating robust, executive-ready deliverables and presentations
- Providing compelling data visualizations
- Leading meetings and work sessions with a broad set of stakeholders, while projecting an executive presence
- Other value-additive duties as assigned
- Six or more years of experience as a business analyst, consultant, or similar role in technology or government
- Project management, including agile and waterfall methodologies (both preferred)
- Business analysis and problem solving in a consultative or project setting with large, cross-functional teams
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently throughout the entire project management lifecycle, from Initiation to Closeout
- Experience identifying and analyzing business problems at the intersection of data, technology, and process
- Experience leading meetings and work sessions with a broad set of stakeholders, while projecting an executive presence
- Strong experience creating robust, executive-ready deliverables and presentations
- Ability to translate complex concepts and ideas to compelling data visuals and presentations
- Strong learning agility, and ability
- to learn new systems and concepts quickly
- Experience and skill working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to communicate to a variety of audiences
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Detail-oriented Prior experience working on State of Indiana large software or technical projects
- Experience working within large enterprise or complex organizations
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
