Senior Business Analyst

Systems Integration and Development, Inc. (SID) is an award-winning IT solutions provider located in Rockville, MD and is seeking a Senior Business Analyst. This is a full-time position based in Suitland, MD. This is a remote role with some travel required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Product owners and other stakeholders to understand the business requirements in detail.
• Document requirements, workflows and refine user stories and backlog.
• Communicate defined requirements with IT and business staff
• Provide knowledge of applications and operational environments and high-level functional systems to various stakeholders as needed
• Work closely with development team to clarify any requirements/business logic and remove any hurdles.
• Produce documentation such as user acceptance criteria, Technical Requirements Documentation, Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM)
• Support team in managing the Agile sprints and track progress.
• Facilitate meetings and pro-actively engage with internal and external stakeholders
• Work independently and as part of the larger project team

Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role or equivalent IT experience
• Experience in gathering requirements and documentation for the creation of government systems
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Applicable industry or technical certifications a plus (e.g. CSM/PMI-CAPM/Agile/Scrum/PMP etc.)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
